Alexandra Pasi, Ph.D., advises Talbot West on machine learning.
Dr. Pasi is the co-founder and chief executive of Lucidity Sciences and the creator of Lumawarp, a GPU-parallelizable approach to geometric manifold regularization. The practical claim behind that work is that models can be made to generalize better by constraining the geometry of the space they learn in, and that the constraint can be applied at a cost that makes it usable rather than merely publishable.
Dr. Pasi holds a doctorate from Baylor University and works from Salt Lake City.
Most enterprise AI work does not require novel methods. The engagements where it does are the ones Dr. Pasi is brought into: cases where the available models are a poor fit for the data, where the accuracy ceiling matters commercially, or where a client needs an honest read on whether a proposed technical approach is sound.
